I can’t say enough about Sylvester Cabinetry and the individuals I worked with. They provided cabinetry for both our kitchen and laundry room. My first meeting was with Ambyr Jones who was not only very helpful but also exhibited the patience of a saint. I had done a lot of homework and knew some of the options that were must-have’s in my kitchen and Ambyr helped bring it altogether and made some great suggestions. During the process, like most of us, I either questioned myself or made changes along the way and was never made to feel l was being difficult. Their main concern was making me happy and ensuring I was getting exactly what I wanted and pleased with the end product.
Once it was time for Sylvester Cabinetry to come and mark the kitchen, Greg and his team took a great deal of time and pride ensuring all measurements were on point, as well as providing some helpful tips to ensure the install went smoothly, not only for his company, but for any sub-contractors following behind him. Another important point to make and is everyone’s fear, will the install happen when promised, and with Sylvester they delivered when promised. With that being said, the install went smoothly.
I am extremely pleased with how both our kitchen and laundry room cabinets turned out. I love my drawer that holds my paper towels, the cutting board over the trashcan, my pull-out spice rack and utensil rack, pull out shelving, large deep drawers, and the stained cabinetry that houses my kitchen sink and two narrow cabinets for cookie sheets. I would highly recommend Sylvester Cabinetry to anyone looking for custom cabinetry because you will walk away not only happy with the product but receive the best customer service ever and loving the end result!

Greg Sylvester designed my cabinetry for my new home in Hawkseye in Lewes De. in 2015. The work entailed the kitchen, cabinets for each side of the fireplace and three bathrooms. The kitchen and bathrooms and wall units came out exactly the way I had envisioned them. Greg and his staff were attentive and respectful of my wishes. The project was done efficiently and on schedule which is detrimental to completing a house on time. If I had an idea, Greg would listen and he would tell me whether it would work or not. I asked to fit a wine cooler on the island and he made it fit along with a cabinetry lift for my kitchen-aid mixer.
I would recommend Greg to anyone who is thinking if remodeling or building from scratch for cabinetry.

However, over the years, the small table on the the wall behind this deck quickly proved too small to hold all my other personal items. I called the builder, who told me his previous cabinet maker had retired and he was now using Sylvester Custom Cabinetry exclusively for all his home-building project. I called Greg Sylvester, and within days he met with me and designed a table/cabinet that perfectly matched the style of the computer table I already had. Within a couple of weeks, he began the project and finished it soon thereafter. I was amazed with his workmanship and how perfectly, and functionally, it matched my existing computer table. "Greg came in to customize my kitchen. I did a remodel and moved some appliances around to new locations. He came in and heard what I wanted to do, and built me new cabinets and surrounds for the appliances. He matched the style and look of my existing cabinets so everything was seamless and smooth, You can not tell the difference between what was there and the new. Not only that, but he also put new top and bottom moldings on my old (and new) cabinets to spruce them up. Greg was reasonable and the workmanship was top notch. I got solid wood cabinets cheaper from him then your veneer covered particle board cabinets you would find at Lowes or Home Depot. I would recommend him in an instant and not hesitate to have him back to do more remodels."

"I would like to share with you all how happy I am with my beautiful new kitchen! First and foremost, Greg and Kelly responded to my first phone call promptly and enthusiastically, coming to my home the very next day to survey my space and measure for the design. Greg followed my desires to the letter, while advising me of what would work and what wouldn't. My kitchen is not large, but I feel his design made the most of the space available, and I absolutely LOVE my beautiful creamy white, soft-close cabinets and open shelving. You guys that did the installation are awesome! Very friendly and informative when I was looking over their shoulders. Considering how very busy everyone was, and the holidays, and waiting for my personal electrical and plumbing contractor, the kitchen was complete in as timely a manner as I could expect. "Working with Sylvester Custom Cabinetry has been one of the bright spots in our nearly two year journey from creating our plans to finally moving in to our new home. Being first time home builders, Greg was extremely helpful in guiding us through multiple aspects of our home building.
The quality and craftsmanship of our cabinets is beautiful. Greg and Doug were able to customize features for us like the microwave drawer in the island and custom integrated paper towel holder. Greg and Doug were not only interested in our cabinet work, they were interested in how the entire home worked together. Greg borrowed our staircase newel posts from Warfel Construction and duplicated the routing pattern on our kitchen island. One afternoon when at his showroom to pick out colors, Greg asked us about our wainscoting. We were confused about the many options. He spent almost an hour with us educating us about wainscoting and helping us to make our decision, even though he was not going to be doing the woodwork for us. Then came those colors. When we selected the colonial blue for our master bath cabinets, I’m not sure who was more excited, Greg or us!
Greg referred us to Mark at Counterparts LLC for the granite. Another masterful decision. We were able to visit the importers’ warehouses and choose the exact slabs that Counterparts custom built to fit our kitchen. Months after we moved in, Greg and Doug returned to add built-ins to our laundry room. Greg brought paint to touch up the cabinets and checked all drawers any cabinets for minor adjustments that we were unaware they needed.
The crown jewels of our home are the custom sliding barn doors that Greg designed and built from photographs. When guests enter our new home for the first time, everyone raves about the kitchen, the hickory floors, and the 30ft wall of custom built-in cabinetry. Then, they turn around and see the sliding doors. To paraphrase a friend who was referencing the unfortunate theft of our appliances during construction, “Oh my God, forget the appliances. I would have stolen the doors!”
It has been our pleasure to work with Sylvester Cabinets and feel that we have made a friend in the process. He truly takes an interest in his customers and takes great pride in his work.
